St. Mark competes in the L.A. Catholic Youth Organization.
The CYO is comprised of close to 200 schools that compete in leagues in hopes of qualifying for the playoffs.
Teams that finish in the top two or three of their league (depending on amount of teams) advance to the playoffs.
The Fall season includes girls vb and boys fb - the winter is basketball and the Spring is Track, boys vb and girls softball.
Playoffs are only for the A level teams.
Boys update: 2-1, consolation champions of the Pomona St. Joseph Tournament.
Girls update: 1-0 match record, 6-2 in overall games. 2nd place in the Pomona St. Joseph Tournament.

Thursday, the last day of September, our girl's volleyball teams played at Visitation. The A-Crimsons lost two tough games 5-15 and 9-15. Quotes from the stands included "if only our team could serve the danged ball..."
The B-Crimsons easily won both of their games. They apparently have the goal of extending last year's undefeated season through a second year. Parallels have been mentioned with the McGwire/Sosa phenomenon.

At St Anthony's in El Segundo. The A Girls won their games 15-0 and 15-4 and remain undefeated. Play
of the game was by Amanda.The B Girls secured a come-from-behind
victory in the first game and made easy work of St Anthony's in the second, to also remain undefeated.


Saturday Sept 18th 8am - 3pm
A, JV, and B's Tourney in Redondo Beach.

We took home the Second Place Trophy.

On Tuesday Sept 21st, both the A Crimson and the B Crimson beat St Gerards.
The B team thrilled the fans with a third game that went into overtime where we won 17 to 15.
